The SIIG Mini DisplayPort 4K Video Dock/Docking Station/Ethernet Hub is designed to easily convert your Mini DP to HDMI or DisplayPort output and add 2x USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a Gigabit Ethernet port to your mDP enabled Surface tablet, Ultrabook, or laptop. This adapter is suitable for use with devices with a Mini DisplayPort and a USB 3.0 port. The Ethernet driver has been released for MacOS Big Sur and is now compatible with all versions of MacOS. However, it is not compatible with the MacBook 2015 line. The Mini DP connection only transfers video and can be used in a Thunderbolt 2 port on your MacBook, but it does not have Thunderbolt 2 capability to transfer video and data simultaneously.

The SIIG Mini DisplayPort 4K Video Dock is DisplayPort 1.2a & HDMI 1.4 compliant and supports up to 4K @60Hz for DisplayPort and up to 4K @30Hz for HDMI. It also features a 2-port USB 3.0 Hub and Gigabit Ethernet up to 1000Mbps.

This multi-port adapter dock instantly enhances the connectivity of your laptop PC, Surface (Pro 1/2/3/4/5), or MacBook with a mini DP port to boost your productivity. The dock allows for one external HDMI or DisplayPort 4K display at a time, and hard wires your internet connection with the RJ45 Ethernet port to a router. Additionally, it can connect up to two USB powered devices, such as a mouse and keyboard, and offers three display modes: Mirror, Extended, and Primary.
